2 of Chow’s gymnasts are added to the US National Team!

Martha Karolyi, the U.S. women’s national team coordinator, and the Athlete Selection Committee approved adding four women to the U.S. Women’s National Team at the conclusion of the women’s November national training camp, held at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site.
 
The three women added to the senior team are: Gabrielle Douglas of Virginia Beach, Va./Buckeye Gymnastics, 2012 Olympic all-around and team gold medalist; Rachel Gowey of Urbandale, Iowa/Chow’s Gymnastics; Alexandra Raisman of Needham, Mass./Brestyan’s American Gymnastics;, 2012 Olympic floor exercise and team gold medalist. Victoria Nguyen of West Des Moines, Iowa/Chow’s Gymnastics, was added to the junior national squad.
 
Based in Indianapolis, USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States. Its mission is to encourage participation and the pursuit of excellence in the sport. Its disciplines include men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, acrobatic gymnastics and group gymnastics.
