SEC Freshman of the Year, SEC Floor Exercise Champion, AAI Award Nominee
Kiya Johnson recently announced she will be returning to LSU for her 5th year! A stand-out both on and off the gymnastics floor, Kiya has been an integral member of the LSU Gymnastics team. Being a Team Captain, 9x All-American, AAI Award Nominee, and one of the top All-Around gymnast in the country and she’s not done yet.
Kiya tore her Achillies during the second competition of her Senior season and continued to cheer on her teammates at every meet all the way to their fourth-place finish at NCAA National Championships. She will be returning to competition for her final year at LSU and hopes to inspire others to overcome challenges they may face as well continuing to be a voice for inclusion in sports.
