Marlen Esparza is competing in the finals tomorrow at the 2014 Women’s Boxing World Championship! Esparza, who is competing in her fifth straight world championships competition in South Korea, faced off with Brazil’s Clelia da Costa in a flyweight semifinal bout. As the two had competed four times this year, Esparza knew what to expect from her Brazilian opponent. She won a unanimous decision over da Costa in the contest to move on to her first World Championships final round bout. Esparza will take on England’s Lisa Jane Whiteside for flyweight gold on Monday at approximately 2:15 p.m. local time (12:15 a.m. ET).
