U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing athletes are taking a break from summer training and heading to Mexico to do some good. 19 team members, including Logan, take off on Friday morning for Tijuana to build a house for a family in need.

The project—led by professional cyclist Guy East’s nonprofit Hope Sports in conjunction with More Than Sport—gives athletes from all sports an opportunity to devote time to a worthy cause outside of their sport. Riders and skiers will team up with US Speedskating athletes to complete the project.

When they arrive in Tijuana, the group will learn new skills—such as how to paint, roof, frame walls, install doors and more—and participate in the team-building component to this program. Athletes go from being competitors to working toward a common goal.
